Develop your personality with these 5 Golden Rules
Here are some interesting golden rules for one to help in personality development.
1. Examine life. Engage life with vengeance; always search for new pleasures and new destines to reach with your mind. This rule isn’t new. It echoes the verses of ancient Greek philosophers and most notably those of Plato through the voice of his hero, Socrates. Living life is about examining life through reason, nature’s greatest gift to humanity. The importance of reason in sensing and examining life is evident in all phases of life– from the infant who strains to explore its new surroundings to the grandparent who actively reads and assesses the headlines of the daily paper. Reason lets human beings participate in life, to be human is to think, appraise, and explore the world, discovering new sources of material and spiritual pleasure.
2. Embrace Challenges. Challenges, however small, are perfect opportunities to change negative thoughts into positive ones, and practice finding solutions. “I’m so bummed the store is out of my favorite cereal” becomes, “Hey this week I’m going to try eating yogurt for breakfast.” “I didn’t ace my math exam” becomes “Next time, I’ll study harder and do better.”
3. Motivation is impossible without clear achievable goals.
Motivation and goal setting are inextricably linked when it comes to having a strong character.. Without a goal or purpose, motivation is meaningless, whilst motivation is a vital part of intentionally achieving any goal. Two of the most basic motivators are to know exactly what you are trying to achieve, and to then go out and achieve it. Not having a clear idea of your goal or not believing that a goal is attainable will severely dent your motivation. Motivation is the strong self empowerment tool.
4. Practice Gratitude. Here’s an exercise. Start a daily practice, on your way to work, before you go to bed, of listing 3 things you’re grateful for that day.
5. Get Clarity. You must clearly see and know where you want to be tomorrow. The clearer you see the goals, the stronger your faith. Clarity builds faith. Stronger your faith , the faster you will achieve your goals and change your life. It is just as difficult to get to a place you can’t ee, as it is to come back from you’ve never visited. And your goals will give you a different charm in shaping your personality.
